The terms, in plain language.
These terms are the agreement between you and Mahd Qureshi, who runs LifeHub from Ontario, Canada. By creating an account or using the LifeHub app or this website, you agree to these terms. The Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information; accepting these terms does not replace separate permissions required for AI services or optional data sharing. If you don’t agree, please don’t use LifeHub.
What LifeHub is
LifeHub is a digital companion and organizer, built for university students. Your Moji is an AI character that helps you plan your day, keep your to-dos, calendar and notes, and think out loud.
Your Moji is software. It is not a person, and its replies are written by OpenAI. Spoken replies may also be generated by OpenAI through our server.
What LifeHub is not
LifeHub is not therapy, counselling, or a medical, mental-health, legal or financial service. Your Moji is not a therapist, doctor or counsellor, and nothing it says is professional advice. It is not a substitute for professional care, emergency services, or the people in your life.
Don’t rely on your Moji for decisions about your health, safety, money or legal matters. Double-check anything important it tells you, like a deadline or an exam time.
If you need help now
If you are thinking about hurting yourself or are in crisis, call or text 988 (Canada and the US) any time, or call 911. Your campus counselling or wellness service can help too.
Ontario post-secondary students can also call Good2Talk at 1-866-925-5454.
Automated checks may add crisis resources to a reply, but no person monitors your conversations for emergencies. Your Moji cannot contact anyone for you and may not recognize that you need help.
Who can use it
- You must be 18 or older. LifeHub is built for university students, and any adult can use it. A school email is not required.
- One person per account. Use an email address you control and a display name you are entitled to use. Do not impersonate anyone.
- Keep your sign-in safe. You are responsible for what happens on your account, and you should tell us right away if you think someone else is using it.
- You can’t use LifeHub if we have removed you before, or if the law doesn’t allow you to.
Availability and charges
LifeHub is currently free. Features may change, break, pause or go away, and information can be lost, so keep your own copy of anything important.
If we ever charge for LifeHub, we will tell you first, and you will never be charged without agreeing to it.
Your content
You keep the rights you have in the messages, notes, profile and pictures you add. Using LifeHub does not give you ownership of someone else’s content.
You give us permission to store, process and send that content only as far as needed to run LifeHub. For example: sending what you say to the AI service so your Moji can reply, delivering your messages, showing your profile to other users, and checking social content for abuse with your permission. This permission is limited to operating the service and does not replace separate AI consent. After deletion, only processing needed for the retention, safety and legal exceptions described in the Privacy Policy continues.
Only share what you have the right to share. You are responsible for it.
Your Moji’s replies
AI gets things wrong. Replies can be inaccurate, incomplete, out of date or inappropriate, and can sound sure of themselves while being wrong. Replies may not be unique to you or eligible for copyright protection. Use them lawfully, respect other people’s rights, and check important information before relying on it.
If a reply is harmful or inappropriate, press and hold it and tap Report.
People on LifeHub
LifeHub has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. Break these rules and we will remove the content and may suspend or permanently remove your account.
Don’t:
- harass, bully, threaten, intimidate or stalk anyone;
- post hate speech or attack people for who they are;
- share sexual content or nudity, or anything that sexualizes a minor. We report suspected child sexual exploitation to the appropriate authorities as required by law;
- encourage self-harm, violence or illegal activity;
- pretend to be someone else, or mislead people about who you are;
- share someone else’s private information without their permission;
- spam, scam, or sell things to people through messages;
- post anything that breaks the law or someone else’s rights, including copyright.
Reporting and blocking
Report or block anyone from their profile: tap ⋯, then Report or Block. To report a message from a person, press and hold it and choose Report message. You can also email support@thelifehub.site.
We review reports and aim to act within 24 hours. That means removing content that breaks these rules and suspending or removing the accounts behind it. We may also act without a report.
Using the service fairly
Don’t scrape, copy or automate access to LifeHub. Don’t overload it, try to break into it, or get into other people’s accounts. Don’t work around its safety limits or try to make your Moji produce harmful content. Don’t reverse engineer the app, except where the law gives you the right to.
Our side
The LifeHub app, its design, the Moji characters and the LifeHub name belong to us or their respective rights holders. Open-source components remain governed by their own licences. The App Store app is licensed under Apple’s Standard EULA, linked below.
Ideas and feedback are always welcome. If you send some, we may use them without owing you anything.
Ending things
You can delete your account any time, from your profile in the app.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts people at risk, or exposes LifeHub to legal trouble. We may also stop offering the service. Where we reasonably can, we will warn you first.
Suspension signs you out and hides your account from normal search, profiles and conversations. It can be reversed. Contact support@thelifehub.site if you think a restriction was a mistake.
No guarantees
LifeHub is provided “as is” and “as available”. As far as the law allows, we don’t promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, accurate or suited to any particular purpose.
Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under consumer protection laws that can’t be waived, including applicable Ontario consumer protection law.
Limits on liability
As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits or opportunities. These exclusions do not apply where the law forbids them and do not limit any mandatory consumer remedy or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
If you got LifeHub from the App Store
Your licence to the iPhone app is governed by Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement (EULA). These LifeHub service terms apply to your account, our online services, this website and community conduct. They supplement the Standard EULA and do not replace it or override mandatory consumer rights or Apple’s Usage Rules. If they conflict about the app licence, the Standard EULA controls.
Mahd Qureshi provides LifeHub and handles questions, support and complaints at support@thelifehub.site. Apple does not provide support for LifeHub. Apple’s own terms govern your relationship with Apple and any applicable App Store refund process.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For significant changes, we will tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. We will ask you to accept revised terms where required; continued use does not replace any separate consent required by law. If you don’t, you can delete your account.
The legal part
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Disputes go to the courts of Ontario, unless your local consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim where you live.
If any part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don’t enforce a term right away, we haven’t given up the right to. These service terms, the applicable app licence and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us. You can’t transfer your account or these terms to someone else. We may transfer them to a company we set up to run LifeHub, or to whoever takes it over.
